I have inspiration to write another poem that again, is not really something I usually write about. I wanted to write one about someone who is looking for happiness in the wrong places. More specifically speaking about someone who is addicted to drugs. I kinda want the drug reference at a mininum or rather in the background, so that the search for happiness is the main focus. Here is what I have so far. Tell me what you think!


"The Needle & The Liar"

Syringes can't fix this,
its just my only wish.
Needles pricking the skin.
I'm hoping the cure is within.
Who knew happiness was so far away?
Its the race I run everyday.
I know I'm lying to myself.
It's something that can't be helped.


Idk though. It will probably end up in the trash like countless other glips of lost inspiration. I want to do the subject justice because I don't think its something that should be taken lightly. Anyways, your comments and thoughts are always greatly appreciated.
